Kristin grew up in Orange County, California and started dancing at 3 years old. She trained and performed in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, and contemporary at Huntington Academy of Dance and the Huntington Beach Academy for the Performing Arts for 15 years before becoming a dance teacher. She completed twelve exams through the Cecchetti method program. While teaching, Kristin pursued her Bachelor’s of Science in Biomedical Engineering at University of California Irvine, and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from University of Colorado Boulder.

Kristin loves teaching kids to love expression through movement and have fun, alongside discipline and physical and mental exercise. She loves teaching tiny toddlers to learn just how capable they are, and seeing them grow into confident teens and adults who know that they can do hard things. Kristin is super excited to teach at MCDA!

As a teacher, choreographer, and a practitioner of Hip-Hop, Edward Lee is passionate about preserving culture+history and creating spaces for self expression within and around street dance. In 2025, Lee graduated  with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance along with the certificate in Hip-Hop Studies from the University of Colorado, Boulder. During and after his time in college, Lee  performed in several student and faculty lead works, as well as community performances including Denver Fringe Festival. From the mentorship of Lawerence Southall and Rennie Harris, he aims to pass on the knowledge given to him to the next generation of students.

With a BFA in Dance from CU Boulder and a serious passion for movement, Summer brings technical expertise, somatic intelligence, and individualized care to every student. Having spent the last 15 years as both a dancer and dedicated dance educator in the Denver Metro area, she excels at creating organized, supportive, and thriving environments for young artists. Summer believes that well-rounded, healthful, and holistic training helps dancers build not just technical skills, but a strong work ethic and unstoppable self-confidence. She is thrilled to share her energy, experience, and love for dance with the MCDA family!

Sarah Casey has been dancing since she was a small child. She attended Loyola Marymount University, where she trained and performed in a variety of concerts, plays, and at the American College Dance Festival. She received a Bachelors of Arts in Dance. Post graduation, Sarah attended  Bates Dance Festival and began her teaching career. She has been teaching a variety of styles and levels for over 10 years. She specializes in working with toddler/preschool dancers. Sarah also attended Naropa University and received her Masters in Somatic Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Dance/Movement Therapy. She worked as a Birth-5 Mental Health Counselor for 3 years before shifting back to teaching dance in order to be able to be home more with her 3 amazing children. In her free time, Sarah enjoys taking aerial classes, dance classes, and going on outdoor adventures with her family.
