FROM THE DANCE FAMILIES
FAQS
Got questions about our programs? Here are some frequently asked.
We encourage all dancers enrolled in our program to participate in our winter and spring dance concerts. We truly believe performing is an integral part of your student’s dance education and strongly encourage all dancers to participate in these positive performance opportunities.
We understand that conflicts happen. Families must notify us by January 30th (for spring recital) or September 1st (for winter recital) if they are not able to participate in the performances in order to avoid the performance fees.
We consider our recitals professional events and treat them that way! The recital fee covers many things, including the dancer’s costume, recital shirt, recital video download, theater rental, technical crew, rehearsal staffing, insurance, administrative work, scheduling, and our dance teachers to be onsite for the duration of both the dress rehearsal and performance.
Our recitals are in December and May. We release dates at the beginning of the semester when venue rentals are finalized.
Our MADE student ensemble, for ages 7-18, accelerates dancer’s training and performance opportunities in a supportive and creative environment. MADE participation includes a weekly company class, in addition to weekly technique requirements. MADE is by faculty invitation only.
Yes! Our Primary program dancers (ages 2.5-5) participate in an informal winter in studio showcase and a professional spring recital in a theater. All other dances (grades K-12) participate in two professional recitals – one in winter and one in spring. Our MADE company dancers have additional performance opportunities.
We truly believe performing is an integral part of your student’s dance education and strongly encourage all dancers to participate in these positive performance opportunities.
